Software engineer in the making Day 0.3

The Journey just got started

800 hours of Lab work

20 courses to be completed in 12 Parts..

Before all this we need to setup and understand how to maximise our laptops , PCs potential.

For one one to be a good software engineer one must understand the ins and outs of a computer software , he must be able to do basic troubleshooting.

The computer unit is made up of some core basic components..

Central Processing Unit (CPU): The CPU, often referred to as the "brain" of the computer, is responsible for executing instructions and performing calculations. It performs tasks such as data processing, arithmetic operations, and controlling the flow of information within the computer.

Memory (RAM): Random Access Memory (RAM) is temporary storage that the computer uses to store data and instructions that are actively being used. It allows for quick access to data, enabling the CPU to perform tasks efficiently.

Storage Devices: Computers have various types of storage devices for long-term data storage. Hard Disk Drives (HDDs) and Solid State Drives (SSDs) are commonly used to store files, programs, and the operating system. These devices retain data even when the computer is turned off.

Operating System (OS): The operating system is software that manages and controls the computer's hardware and software resources. It provides an interface for users to interact with the computer and coordinates the execution of programs.

Graphics Processing Unit (GPU): The GPU is responsible for rendering and displaying graphics, images, and videos. It offloads graphical processing tasks from the CPU, making it crucial for gaming, video editing, and other visually-intensive applications.

A question arises which of these components makes your PC faster and perform better.

That's where the questions of which of the components does a particular Software require the most to run maximally..

Like watching a movie, playing a game , browsing the internet with a web browser like chrome or brave.

I'll Do further explanation on the above concept but let's look at the top 5 fastest super computers in the world..

Ref en.wikipedia.org/wiki/TOP500

let's see what is common amongst them is it the GPU , CPU , RAM or OS

What do you see?
